I've been making up stories-with-pictures in exchange for money for the last twenty-five years, sometimes for things where the pictures move, sometimes where the pictures don't. The moving pictures you might have seen include Eastenders, Grange Hill and the Bill and a few others besides; in all I've probably worked on around 80 hours of broadcast TV (and a couple of centuries of work in development).

The pictures that don't move include Judge Dredd, Deadline Magazine, The Books of Magick (with Neil Gaiman), Hellblazer: City of Demons and my own series The Vinyl Underground.

I've also put in a lot of time as a script editor, working with Russell T Davies, Tony Jordan, Matthew Graham, Ashley Pharoah, Jamie Hewlett, Alan Martin, John Yorke among countless others. To keep myself (and more importantly, my wife) sane, I like to work with other writers, new and established, providing an objective, trained and skilled eye in helping them to improve their writing.
